课程简介：The course will introduce students to the key ideas and arguments of a diverse range of influential contemporary ‘Western’ cultural theorists and their interventions into a range of issues including - though not limited to- the environment, geo/bio politics, gender and sexuality, technology, aesthetics/taste, modernity, ideology, and social space.
Each class will consist of a lecture, supplemented with a range of documentary materials, and open class discussion. Using theories from the course, students will have the opportunity to create interventions with their own artistic/design practices and/or academic/intellectual interests.

3、课程名称：磁流体实验和设计（Ferrofluid Experiments and Design）

课程简介：From the point of view of interaction, the course use the features of liquidity of ferrofluid, when it meet magnet. the workshop discuss the more possibilities of commercial applications of ferrofluid, although which is morally used in the field of aerospace and other cutting-edge research recently.
The first two weeks of the course, do some experiments to find the possibilities and the properties of the ferrofluid.
The second phase, to use the outcome in the first part to design some daily supplies. In this stage the features of ferrofluid should be good consided.
The third phase, use suitable methods such as interaction techniques to realize the concepts, make prototypes.
Week 1-2: Material properties, present and prospective fields of implementation
Week 3-4: design development
Week 5-6: realize the concept, prototypes
